The 3rd session of the social program promoted by Euroleague, Dinamo Sassari and Fondazione Dinamo “One1Team…for my life” was a real unconventional meeting full of emotions and discoveries for all participants.
Often a lot of words to explain a concept are unnecessary, especially if you have the ambition to explain the meaning of “passion”. Sometimes the best thing is to show directly what that word means in your life. This was the 3rd One Team session, held the 25th of November: an only denominator led Nicola Virdis’s lesson and the hour on the court, one big challenge: << Don’t wait to be adult to know what you love doing, to risk in the things that you like: your time is now!>>. Nicola exposed firstly himself, showing to the San Donato Institute’s students his passion: juggling. The students tasted it using all Nicola’s tools (balls, flower stick, Diablo, hoop). The group could see how much juggling is difficult: indeed, if you want that your passion grows up, it requires hard work, persistence and patience. Effort and commitment invested in something that you love is one of the best things that you can do in life, because when someone overcomes its limits and makes a step forward is pleased, gratified, satisfied and inspired to raise his target.
The One Team Ambassadors Jack Devecchi and Jeff Brooks, together with the One Team Coaches Massimo Bisin and Paolo Citrini, after taking active part in the activities driven by Nicola, enjoyed on the court to play basketball with the students. In their eyes, it was easy to perceive the enthusiasm to have the possibility to share their passion, basketball, with the San Donato’s students and that basketball an instrument to better live their own lives. The students found basketball easier than last time, as they improved their skills.
