Profile

Already at the second year with the withe’n blue. The Tuscan player, in the past season, has kept the expectations up, confirming to be reliable, highlighting his big work ethic and demonstrating his technical abilities, particularly useful in the perimeter. Lorenzo has arrived to Sassari, after three seasons spent with Virtus Roma, bringing a great deal of experiences with him.

Early member of the Mens Sana Siena youth team, he won the Under 18 championship and coach Piangiani decided to insert him in the roster of the main team, during the winning season of 2006-2007: 17 presences, his first “scudetto” and the participation to the Eurocup. After moving to Livorno and Udine, he returns to Siena (2009-2010), where he wins the Supercoppa, Coppa Italia e the scudetto, making his debut in the Eurolega. Two seasons in Cremona then to Virtus Roma, where he gained play-time in the seasons of the playoffs finals, in Eurocup and in the semifinal for the scudetto. When he was a kid he didn't want to play basketball, even if his brother and his cousin tried to convince him to do so. When asked why he didn't want to play, he simply replied that he would have started only when he learnt to steal the ball from the other player. Since then, from the games with his brother and his cousin, a lot has changed. Now he is a specialist in the defense.
